HISTORY

OUR FOCUS

ALOHA!

Welcome to the official website of the Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation. Founded in 1967 by businessman, developer and philanthropist Clarence T.C. Ching, the organization exists to fulfill Mr. Ching’s vision of helping people in need. Today, as a charitable, private 501(c)3 organization, the Foundation makes grants to nonprofits supporting education, healthcare, social services, arts & culture and innovation & the environment.
“As the son of an immigrant father, Clarence Ching worked hard all his life. He proved that a humble beginning is no barrier if one has constructive dreams and the ability and determination to make them come true. His good deeds will live after him. But he will be sorely missed by all who knew him and of his deep care for the community.”

– The Honolulu Advertiser, June 4 1985
